There’s just nothing better than a family trip for ice cream in the roomy Ford Explorer. When it’s time to take everyone out for a treat, we recommend several great places here in Corsicana, TX that we think you’ll enjoy.

Corsicana Creamery

Located at 215 E 5th Ave, this delicious location is serving up great treats every day of the week. Their hours are different every day and can get confusing, so it’s always worth checking to be sure before you head out. You can reach them at (214) 212-1810. On Sundays, they are open from 1 to 5. On Monday, it’s from noon to five. On Tuesday, they are open in the evenings from 4 to 7. On Wednesday and Thursday, they are open from 2 to 7. On Friday and Saturday, they are open from 2 to 9.

We recommend all of their really great Scoops. Our personal favorite is the bear claw, which is a super-rich dark chocolate with chocolate-covered cashews and caramel. The butterscotch bomb is also incredible. It’s a butterscotch hard-scoop with a butterscotch ribbon, covered in Heath bar, cookies, peanut butter cups, and brownie bits. For something totally different and delicious, try their purple daze, which is a black raspberry hard-scoop with chocolate black raspberry cups.

Braum’s

Braum’s is a beloved site that offers fast food, groceries, but, best of all, great frozen treats. You’ll find them at 1920 W 7th Ave, and they’re open from 6 AM until 10:45 PM every day. They have a wide variety of flavors in both soft serve and hard scoop, and you can get any of them mixed into amazing sundaes and milkshakes. All of their ingredients are locally sourced. They also have a variety of frozen yogurts and offer malts and mixes.

They are probably most famous for their sundaes, and with good reason. We are particularly fond of their black forest sundae and the delicious candy bar sundae. You can’t go wrong with the pecan caramel cinnamon crumb cake sundae, either. Their mixes are soft-serve vanilla or chocolate froyo with your choice of an add-in. They have everything from peanut butter cups to Oreo cookies, fruit, pecans, M&Ms, and lots more.

Sno-Biz

This delicious dessert shop is right on Route 318 in the middle of town. They are open from one to nine on most days, though on Tuesdays they don’t open until 1230 and they close at 8:30. You can get shaved ice here in almost any flavor you can possibly imagine, including wedding cake, pink Panther, toasted coconut, wild cherry, and something called the “tear jerker,” which we haven’t had the guts to try yet. Add cream to any sno for just fifty cents more.

After your dessert, visit Brinson Ford for service on your Ford that will keep it running right!
